Riu Hotels and Resorts will open an 856-room property in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, on Oct. 28, its largest property in the Caribbean.The 856-room Riu Ocho Rios will be Riu's third property in Jamaica, the others being the Riu Tropical Bay and the Riu Negril. The Riu Ocho Rios faces a white-sand beach and is near waterfalls, historic sites, shopping and nightlife.
The resort has six restaurants, and snacks and drinks are available 24 hours a day.The property also has seven bars, a lounge, a disco and two conference rooms. Guests will find a lit tennis court, kayaking, windsurfing, volleyball and introductory scuba lessons in the pool and a terrace-solarium.
The Riu Ocho Rios also has a children's swimming pool, playground and mini-club.
